Pregnancy and birth are an initiation into a new role and a new way of life (with every baby, not just the first!). I work with families to make this a time of joy, power, and connection, rather than fear and overwhelm. The support I offer is unique to each family, because everyone will need something different in this very personal time.
During your birth I will be there with you to call you back to your strength and your values and to offer whatever physical and emotional support is needed.

4 prenatal sessions, about 1 hour each
2 postpartum visits, about 1 hour each
On call for you 24/7 from 37 weeks until your baby is born

For those who already have plenty of resources and support for the physical and emotional work of pregnancy and birth preparation and resources to understand their options and the physiologic process of birth. It still includes time in the prenatal period for us to get to know each other and for me to understand your needs, as well as full support in your labor and a postpartum visit.
